The 2012 Jeep JK Wrangler with its newly available 3.6L V6 is quickly becoming this season’s hottest SUV and off-road vehicle. With extra horsepower, better shifting, greater fuel economy and fashionably fun colors, there’s no mystery to the 2012 Jeep Wrangler’s growing popularity. The best part about the new 3.6L V6, however, is that it offers all kinds of opportunities for exciting modifications.

That’s why Volant created a cold air intake kit for the 3.6L that offers less restrictive intake tubes to make sure you get cleaner, cooler air to your engine in the most efficient way possible. Getting more air to the engine is always important for optimal performance. The cleaner and cooler the air, the better it can be utilized by the engine to create more efficient power. Jeep owners are notorious for playing in the mud and revel in challenging their rides in the dirtiest conditions around, so Volant’s Cold Air Intake kit offers increased filtration with two filter options; the Pro-5 cotton gauze filter and the Volant Powercore filter. Volant’s Pro-5 filter (PN 17636) is for those who want maximum air-flow with excellent filtration from a filter that can be cleaned and re-oiled. Volant’s Powercore filter (PN 176366) lasts up to four years or 100,000 miles under normal conditions. It’s perfect for those applications where you want maximum performance without having to worry about filter maintenance or oiling.

The installation of Volant’s Cold Air Intake is simple. The factory Jeep air intake box is replaced with the new Volant intake box, inlet tubes and rubber couplers. Stainless steel clamps are included and you’ll only need a few tools. Adding more protection and horsepower to your 3.6L V6 couldn’t be easier. If you’re playing in the dirt or simply commuting in smoggy, grungy conditions, having proper filtration and unrestricted air flow is one of the best things you can do to make your Jeep JK Wrangler more responsive and proficient. Volant also offers an optional high velocity snorkel scoop to get even more potential from your vehicle.

Volant designed its new Cool Air Intake™ System to replace the restrictive factory air intake and duct on 2012 model Jeep JK Wranglers. The intake system fits the 3.6 liter V-6 engine, and combines a high-flow air inlet tube, larger air filter box, and a newly designed polished aluminum lid with a clear window, to easily see the condition of the filter without having to remove it. The Jeep intake system also comes with your choice of performance filtration. Part number 17636 includes Volant’s Pro-5 five-layer, cotton/gauze, re-useable air filter. You can also choose a Volant filter with PowerCore® filtration technology (PN-176366), that’s maintenance free, provides up to 99.97 percent filtration efficiency, and lasts up to 100,000 miles.

The sealed air intake system keeps out hot engine heat, but features larger air inlet vents to allow more cold air to get to the filter. For extreme conditions, both filter options can be used with Volant’s pre-filter cover, sold separately, that prevents moisture and mud from clogging up the system. Volant’s Jeep Wrangler Cold Air Intake can also be connected to the company’s popular snorkel, PN- 37738. The snorkel keeps heavy dust and moisture away from the intake system, allowing it to gather clean, cold air from above the vehicle’s roof line.

Volant created the ultimate power intake system for the 2011-’12 Dodge Challenger and Charger, equipped with a 5.7-liter Hemi V8. The kit provides a rush of cold air from its sealed air intake box and lower ram air scoop. The system is also available with a Volant filter using Donaldson PowerCore® Filtration Technology, PN 162576, that provides added power and superior air filtration that lasts up to 100,000 miles without any maintenance, and provides up to 99.97 percent filtration efficiency.
