Ford F-150 pickups equipped with either the 3.7L V-6 or 3.5L Eco-Boost engine, can gain horsepower and fuel economy with Volant’s new Cold Air Intake system. Both systems, PN196376 (3.7 V-6) and PN196356 (3.5L Eco-Boost) replace the factory air filter box and radiator coolant overflow tank with a new Volant filter box and tank that mount slightly closer to the vehicle’s firewall. This allows for a larger filter box, giving the engine more air volume to increase power and highway fuel economy.

These CAI kits come with a five-layer, high-flow, Pro-5 cotton gauze reusable filter, but are also available with an optional Volant filter using Donaldson PowerCore® Filtration Technology. This filter provides up to 99.97 percent filtration efficiency, no maintenance, and lasts up to 100,000 miles. Included with each kit is a Volant coolant overflow tank that utilizes the factory fittings, cap and hoses. The system also comes with high-flow molded air inlet ducts, rubber sleeves, stainless steel clamps, and all the necessary hardware for easy installation.

An optional ram-air scoop (PN-39850) is available for the 3.7L V6 intake, and mounts to the factory bumper to direct air to the Volant filter box. Tests have shown adding the scoop increases highway fuel economy by as much as 1.5-2 MPG. The scoop is not available for the Eco-Boost engine. Volant also manufactures a CAI intake for F-150’s equipped with the 5.0L and 6.2L V-8 engines. For more information on Volant’s line of Cold Air Intake systems that are manufactured in the U.S.A., contact Volant,10285 Indiana Ct., Rancho Cucamonga, California 91730, (909) 481-3888.

Volant’s new CAI kit for Ford F-150 pickups, replaces the factory air filter box and radiator coolant overflow tank to deliver more air.

Other intake systems are limited in filter size, due to the factory one-piece air box and overflow tank. But Volant’s intake system replaces the tank, allowing it to be mounted several inches back towards the firewall. This gives Volant’s sealed air filter box greater air volume, and the ability to use an optional air scoop to further increase power and highway fuel economy.

Volant’s CAI kit, PN-19850, comes with a five-layer Pro-5 cotton gauze reusable filter. It’s also available with a Volant filter using Donaldson PowerCore® Filtration Technology, PN-198506, that provides up to 99.97 percent filtration efficiency, no maintenance, and lasts up to 100,000 miles. The Volant coolant tank utilizes the factory fittings, cap and hoses, and is included in the kit. The system also comes with high-flow molded air inlet ducts, silicone sleeves, stainless steel clamps, and all the necessary hardware for easy installation. Volant also includes its new black, stainless steel lid with a filter window so you can see the condition of your air filter.

The optional ram-air scoop (PN-39850) mounts to the factory bumper and routes air to the filter box. Tests have shown adding the scoop increases highway fuel economy by as much as 1.5-2 MPG. The intake kit is available for all 2011 and up Ford F-150 pickups equipped with a V8, V6 or EcoBoost engine. All of Volant’s Cold Air Intake systems are manufactured in the U.S.A.

A Toyota truck owner reluctantly replaces his Volant air filter with PowerCore® Filtration Technology, after it has accrued more than 142,000 miles of service.

Shortly after Jesse Pedroza purchased his 2007 Toyota Tundra 4×4, with less than 500 miles on his new truck, he installed a Volant Cool Air Intake system, and opted for the Volant Filters with PowerCore® Filtration Technology.“ I had used cotton/gauze filters in the past on previous trucks,” says Pedroza. “But a neighbor told me about this new advanced technology filter that Volant is using now in their intakes. I later found out it was a Donaldson® PowerCore® Filtration Technology filter, so I tried it and thoroughly enjoyed the performance without the hassles of cleaning and re-oiling.”

When Pedroza’s truck reached 142K miles, he called Volant and asked if he should replace the filter. “He didn’t want to at first,” says Danny Moniz, Volant VP/COO. “He wanted to keep it on the truck because it had worked so well for the entire time he’s owned the vehicle. We have received literally hundreds of phones calls from happy Truck and SUV owners bragging about their PowerCore® filter having over 100,000 miles on it, but we have never had our hands on one. So we asked him to come by our facility to do a thorough inspection of the filter and for his time we installed a new filter in his truck for free.”

The Volant PowerCore® filter with more than 142K miles on it actually weighed more than a pound when compared to a new one.

The initial inspection of the filter showed the intake side visibly blackened with dirt and soot, with the outtake side (going to the engine) looking exactly as it did brand new. “The efficiency and performance of these filters never ceases to amaze us,” says Moniz. “This filter holds so much dirt, it actually weighted in a pound more than the new filter we installed.” According to Pedroza, the filter lasted nearly five-years on his truck that he uses for work, pleasure and sees an equal amount of highway and off-road use. “I’ll never use anything other than a Volant Intakes with this filter,” says Pedroza. “I’ve been asked hundreds of times about how I like the performance, and I recommend it every time.”

Many of Volant’s Cool Air Intakes for domestic and import cars, trucks and sport utility vehicles are available with a Volant Filter with PowerCore® Filtration Technology.

All of Volant’s Cold Air Intake systems and filters are manufactured in the U.S.A. For more information, contact Volant,10285 Indiana Ct., Rancho Cucamonga, California 91730, (909) 481-3888. Or visit them on the web at www.volant.com.

Over the years, Volant has displayed many of it’s newest air intake systems at the SEMA show in Las Vegas, Nevada. This year, they decided to create an all white intake system for their 2011 Ford F-150 display vehicle.

The new cold air intake is designed for the 5.0-liter V-8 engine and all of the polyethylene, roto-molded components such as air filter box, air intake tube and air scoop are white, allowing SEMA attendees to better see the components and how it integrates into the vehicle’s engine compartment.

“This white intake system is a one-off custom unit,” says Danny Moniz, Vice President and COO at Volant. “Our normal systems are all black. But because they integrate so well into the factory engine compartment, it’s often difficult to see all of the components that make up our system, and how it fits. So this year we made it white and it also matches the color scheme of our project 2011 F-150.”

More information on the Volant Cool Air Intake system for the 2011 F-150 will be available shortly. The company has also designed a system for the 3.4L and 6.2L engines as well.

The all-white air intake was installed on Volant's project 2011 Ford F-150 and displayed at the company's booth at this year's SEMA Show in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Volant just finished it’s project 2011 Ford F-150 with additional new products and accessories to get it ready for the SEMA show in Las Vegas, Nevada. The truck received new front and rear bumper covers from Street Scene Equipment, as well as a set of ATS truck steps.

The bumpers were painted to match the truck’s white exterior and the RK Sport Carbon Fiber hood was also partially painted to blend in with the body lines of the truck, but still reveal some of the carbon fiber on the hood scoop.

The truck’s basic white paint scheme looks great with the addition of the color-matched bumpers. But the grille, truck step braces and inner portions of the 24-inch Lexani wheels, were also painted white which easily, an inexpensively, turned a basic white truck into a custom-looking hauler.

Retailers, dealers and professionals in the automotive aftermarket and OEM industry can see Volant’s project F-150 up close if they are attending the 2011 SEMA Show in Las Vegas, Nevada, November 1st thru 5th. The truck will be displayed in Volant’s booth #23020, located in the Center Hall of the Las Vegas Hilton Convention Center. For more information, visit www.volant.com

Adding a Volant Super Tip is an easy and better way to change the appearance, performance and sound of your truck’s factory exhaust system. Made from 304 stainless steel, each Super Tip is polished from end to end. It’s designed to attach farther up your factory truck’s exhaust system so that it appears like you have a full custom exhaust.

The Super Tip also uses mandrel bends and is carefully TIG welded for optimum quality and strength, while giving off an clean and smooth appearance. The Super Tip exits out from the factory exhaust location with two, dual-wall tips that are highly polished and feature the Volant logo across the top.

Volant’s new Vortice throttle body spacer is the best value for those looking to add a spacer for improved performance to their late-model car or pickup truck. At a retail price around $50, the Vortice comes with a high-quality gasket and hardware to install it in your vehicle in 15-20 minutes. The Vortice’s unique shape and strong, glass-filled nylon composite construction, delivers the same or better performance than other throttle body spacers that can cost up to twice as much.

The Vortice also enhances the operation of any Volant Cool Air Intake System but can also be used with the vehicle’s original equipment air intake. For more information on the Vortice throttle body, contact Volant at 10285 Indiana Ct., Rancho Cucamonga, California 91730, (909)481-3888. Or visit them on the web at www.volant.com.
