The 10th anniversary of the 9-11 attacks reminds us to focus on the price many of our soldiers have paid for keeping America’s freedom alive. So when Volant heard that U.S. Army Veteran John LeBlanc of New Hampshire had a Volant Cold Air Intake System at the top of his birthday list, the company replied with a generous gift.
LeBlanc is a veteran of the Iraq war where he served as an MP. His wife Sandra explained that one of the things that kept him happy during stressful times, was thinking about his new Toyota pickup truck that his family got him during his service. “While he was away, I surprised him and traded his car in for the truck he had always wanted,” says Sandra. “His family paid for a lift as his Christmas present, and I was able to save up pennies and put an exhaust and wheels on it for his welcome home ceremony.”
John loves his Toyota truck and his enthusiasm for it still helps him through some tough times. “Now that he has been home for a short time, his truck is his pride and joy. There were MANY times in Iraq he would rattle off all the mods he couldn’t wait to save up for, and your intake was always the very first on his list,” she added. “But I swear, there were times he was having the worst day possible, and the only thing I could do to lighten his day from so far away was to talk about how he wanted to mod his truck.”
“I too am a Veteran of the Army and appreciate the courage and dedication to serve in the military during this time in our history,” said Danny Moniz, vice president and COO of Volant Performance. “We have always taken care of members of the Armed Services with better discounts on our products than one would find on the web or any retail store. After spending an entire day watching several 911 Ceremonies and Documentaries on TV, I and the rest of the Volant staff, feel the need to give back in any way we can.”

Volant donated a Cool Air Intake for John LeBlanc's truck as a birthday gift, and as a small token of appreciation for his military service.
According to Moniz, throughout the entire day of 9/11/2011, most of the people who were interviewed about the events of 9-11 all stated that if they could only help ONE person, it would have made a difference. For Volant Performance, that one person difference was John and Sandra LeBlanc, and the company donated a Cold Air Intake system for his Toyota as a small way of thanking him for serving our country. “I cannot even express to you the happiness that is in my heart right now, and the appreciation that I have,” said Sandra LeBlanc. “I sincerely appreciate your kindness and your generosity, and as both a daughter of a fallen Green Beret, and as the proud and loving wife of an MP, thank you for your support and encouraging words. I will be able to wrap it with gift paper and add a birthday card from Volant Performance for him. He’s going to be SO excited! I don’t know how I’m going to keep this a secret for that long,” LeBlanc exclaimed.
